Welcome to the Village of Richmond Hill
The Village of Richmond Hill was officially incorporated on June 18, 1872. It's first council meeting was held on January 1, 1873 under the leadership of Abraham Law as Reeve. Since then, the Town of Richmond Hill has experienced phenomenal growth and has become one of Canada’s fastest growing municipalities. During this period of growth, the Village of Richmond Hill has managed to remain a friendly, down-to-earth community - one of change yet with strong historical roots.
The Village of Richmond Hill BIA is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the economic and social well-being of our Village. We are proud of our heritage, and proud of everything our Village has to offer. We welcome you to our Village and invite you to discover our world-class theatre, parks, restaurants, historical buildings, and over 200 shops and services located within our historic downtown core.
